STEPHEN DAVIS.
PROOFREADER/HISTORIAN/ WRITER/ METEOROLOGIST/ LONDON WALKS GUIDE/ MONASTIC RESEARCHER/CRIMINAL PSYCHOLOGIST.

Hello,

My name is Stephen Davis and I have always had a passion for learning, especially in History.

A former civil servant with over 24 years' experience as a Stock Control Processor, mostly from 1982 - 2006, I eventually became a little bored with the job.
It was in 2006 that I looked towards studying for a University degree.
Having taken the appropriate entry interview, I went on to study for a Bachelor's degree, graduating with a BA History (Hons) from the University of Hull in 2012.

So, from 2006 my life was completely changed, because in that year a good friend informed me that a course of study at the university was the best move I could possibly make, and that friend was absolutely right.

During my time at the university I have learned a great many new skills. Examples of my recent new experiences include: Classical music presentation (2012), Meteorology (2014), Proofreading (2016) and the latest adventure being Criminal Psychology (2017) to name but a few.

In the same year I introduced a new philosophy of my own making - " Life is a learning process", and yes, I still believe that to be the case for me today, as education will always be an essential and enjoyable part of my life.

So, 11 years since my initial graduation I have never looked back.
I have moved on from the rigid 9 -5 office routine.
I am still very much involved with historical research, my latest adventure being the early period of the 'House of Stuart' (1603 - 1660).
